The Clinical Manager (CM) is accountable for the delivery of high-quality nursing care and the clinical management of the Operating Room (OR). This person is responsible for the shift operations and the CM provides both clinical and supervisory direction to personnel and activities associated with providing quality patient care. Functions as a role model for nursing and support staff in patient care, planning/decision making/follow-up, communication, prioritization, and problem solving. Oversees and coordinates new hire orientation, training, and/or preceptorships and provides instructions/directions for staff/students. Follows-up and assures completion of unit orientation and work performance objectives. In collaboration with the management team and unit nursing staff, develops, modifies, and updates the clinical competencies requiring at least annual validation within the OR region and coordinates the competency validation process.Work collaboratively with anesthesia lead daily to help drive the daily OR schedule and shift operations.Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or other related health care field, Masters preferred.
Current certification in Resuscitation Provider and American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers.
Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Supervisory/management experience in OR.
